Innovative organ-on-chip project
The BONAFIDE project is an innovative organ-on-chip project. The consortium consists of ACTA (Academic Center for Dentistry Amsterdam) and industrial partners OcellO B.V. (Netherlands) and BEOnChip (Spain).

Together they will develop a human bone-on-chip platform that will simulate bone growth, resorption and remodeling for future evaluation of (anti-osteoporosis) drugs and biomaterials (e.g. bone cements). The BONAFIDE platform to be developed will consist of a microfluidic chip containing a bone-mimetic matrix that supports human bone cell cultures with real time high throughput biomarker analysis.
The project was awarded a Eurostars grant.
