A new concept of video-based intra-operative navigation
Perceive3D has received a prestigious €1.3 EU million grant from the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument Phase 2 funding to develop in.nav. In.nav is the first system for intra-operative navigation based on video.
In.nav combines intelligent image processing with augmented reality to safely guide the surgeon throughout different arthroscopic procedures. The in.nav can also be used in open surgery to overcome limitations of conventional navigation technology and uncover new clinical possibilities.
Perceive3D is a company specialized in computer vision technology that creates groundbreaking image software for improving perception and assisting the surgeon during minimally invasive procedures. The intra-operative video is processed in real-time for extracting meaningful guidance information and enhancing visualization beyond the limits of optics. The software modules can be seamlessly integrated in both new and existing camera equipments thanks to our proprietary calibration technology that enable full understanding about how the image is formed.
