GALACTICA 2nd call for proposals

GALACTICA has launched its 2nd call to fund the best cross-sectoral and cross-border projects in the fields of textile, aerospace, and advancing manufacturing. In total, there will €1.64 million of funding available. This call is targeted at innovative startups and SMEs from the EU and UK.

GALACTICA Project – 2nd call summary

Subsidy: €100,000 (Orbital Projects), €20,000 (Pioneer Projects)

Deadline: 30 March 2022

Consortium: The Call for Proposals is open to EU and UK innovative Startups and SME’s within the textile, aerospace, and/or advanced manufacturing sectors. Single SMEs or consortia SMEs can apply for “Pioneer projects”. For the “Orbital projects” it is mandatory the participation of two SMEs. When two companies are applying within each funding scheme, it is also mandatory that those companies belong to different sectors of activity.

Total Budget: €1,640,000

Project duration: 4-6 months (pioneer project), 6 months (orbital projects)

Scope: To support the best cross-sectoral projects in the fields of textile, aerospace, and advancing manufacturing. For the pioneer project the main goal is to support the exploration of new cross-sectoral value chains feasibility with focus on developing a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) connecting two or more of the sectors (aerospace, textile, advanced manufacturing). The Orbital projects the main goal is the implementation of functional prototypes and demonstrators for new cross-sectoral value chains, connecting two or more of the sectors (aerospace, textile, advanced manufacturing), while funding the integration of non-technological innovations for speeding up market match.

To apply participants need to submit a technical proposal, a budget sheet, and a video pitch (5 minutes).
