Horizon Europe Innovative Europe
Horizon Europe is open to everyone and has a broad range of focus areas, divided across 3 pillars: Excellent Science, Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness, and Innovative Europe. Each pillar has a specific set of grants and tenders connected to it. This page provides a brief overview of the Horizon Europe Innovative Europe pillar.

The Goal of Horizon Europe Innovative Europe
The goal of this third pillar is “stimulating market-creating breakthroughs and ecosystems conducive to innovation”. This is done within 3 different subdomains:
- European Innovation Council (EIC). Focusing on market-creating innovation and SME growth. The EIC program has been published, including EIC accelerator and EIC Pathfinder calls. Total estimated budget, 2021: €1141.80M.
- European Innovation Ecosystems. Aims at connecting with regional and national innovation actors.
- European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Focusing on integrating research, higher education, business and entrepreneurship.
Further information on these calls has not yet been disclosed. This page will be updated continually as new information is released. To receive live updates, sign up for Catalyze Alerts. Visit our Horizon Europe page for more recent information.
