Innosuisse Impulse: Swiss Innovation Power
Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency, supports science-based innovation projects carried out by companies – particularly SMEs – working with public-sector research partners.

Innosuisse Impulse programme: Swiss Innovation Power
The Impulse programme Swiss Innovation Power aims to stimulate innovation activities, to maintain the strength of Swiss innovations and secure the long-term competitiveness of small to medium-sized companies in Switzerland in view of the current Covid-19 pandemic.
Subsidy: ~CHF 450,000 per project
Total Budget: CHF 226M
Funding rate: 70% – 80% (instead of 50%)
Deadline: Running in 2021 – 2022
Scope: The Impulse programme has been implemented to simplify the funding conditions for companies so that they could maintain their innovative strength and secure long-term competitiveness in view of the current Covid-19 pandemic.
Through two new measures, the contributions of the implementation partners can be reduced in comparison to the standard innovation projects in 2021 and 2022:
- Measure 1: Stimulate and accelerate new innovation projects – The company’s own contribution can be limited to 30% (instead of 50%) of the project costs and the cash contribution can be waived in individual cases.
- Measure 2: Supporting projects that address structural change, disruptive or radical innovation – For projects with high risk and high potential reward, with disruptive character or which help with the structural change. External service providers (e.g.: engineering and consulting services) can be paid for and the implementation partner’s own contribution can be lowered from 50% to 20%.
About Innosuisse – Swiss Innovation Agency
Innosuisse helps leverage your innovation: We support science-based innovation projects carried out by companies – particularly SMEs – working with public-sector research partners.
We help to fund innovation projects carried out by companies, private or public organisations in cooperation with research institutions. Innosuisse covers the research partner’s salary and, under certain conditions, material costs as well as a contribution to overheads. The company provides at least the same amount of funding and thus bears the costs for its project itself. Join forces to get innovations on the market more quickly!
