MKB-Innovatiestimulering Regio en Topsectoren (MIT) is part of The Netherlands Enterprise Agency supports entrepreneurs, NGOs, knowledge institutions and organisations. They aim to improve entrepreneurship and collaboration in the Netherlands and abroad. RVO provides a diverse portfolio of Research and Development grants, tax schemes and loans. RVO is also the National Contact Point for many European funding programmes, like the RVO MIT: Haalbaarheidsprojecten (Feasibility projects).
RVO MIT: Haalbaarheidsprojecten (Feasibility projects)
Scope: A feasibility project maps the technical and economic risks of a proposed innovation project. A feasibility study consists of a feasibility study, possibly supplemented by industrial research or experimental development.
A feasibility study typically includes literature research, patent research, inventory of available technology and potential partners, market research and competition analysis.
A few changes have been made to the MIT Haalbaarheidsprogram in 2021, in principle everybody applies to their respective regional contact point (usually the province). Only projects related to Sustainable Fishery and Aquaculture, submit their applications to RVO.
Additionally, applications submitted under MIT should show a link to the Knowledge and Innovation Agenda’s (KIAs) of the Dutch Topsectors.
Funding rate: 40%
Deadlines: Opens on first-come-first-served basis 20 April 2021 until 9 September 2021. In previous years the budget was depleted on the first day of opening.
Project duration: 1 year max.
Consortium: Individual SME entrepreneur.
