Are you aiming to mature and validate your novel technology? Catalyze, market-leading Innovation Consultancy and official EIC Ecosystem Partner, is offering a free assessment for your suitability to apply to EIC Transition.
The EIC Transition programme aims at developments beyond the proof of principle, maturing both the technology (TRL 4-5/6) and business readiness, in order to prepare towards commercialisation of the innovation. Applicants can request up to €2.5 million per project. The 2024 Open Call deadline is 18 September. Unlike previous years, there are no Challenge Calls in 2024.
The questions in the form will help us better understand your project’s goals, challenges, and potential for further development. Once you have filled out the form, our team will carefully review your submission and reach out to discuss your suitability to the programme.
Amsterdam UMC spin-off PacingCure develops platform gene transfer technologies for the heart. Their project, TRACTION, aims to establish Proof-of-Concept for BradyTx-01 – a novel gene therapy medicinal product (GTMP) for the curative treatment of life-threatening cardiac pacing disruptions. Catalyze is proud to have supported the successful application to EIC Transition.
“The support of Catalyze’s consultancy team has been instrumental in sharpening our development trajectory and refining our business development story all the way from successful grant writing to our preparation for the final pitch.”
– Project Coordinator Dr. Gerard Boink.
The European Innovation Council created the EIC Transition programme, to fund innovation activities that support both: maturation and validation of your novel technology, and development of a business case towards the innovation’s future commercialisation. In 2024, EIC Transition consists of one open call (‘EIC Open’) and no challenge driven calls (‘EIC Challenges’).
Proposals must build on the results from EIC Pathfinder, FET Flagship calls or ERC Proof of Concept projects, either by including participants of those projects or by showing that you have access to the IP or the rights to further develop the technology. In general a Transition project aims to validate and demonstrate technology (in an application-relevant environment) and develop its market readiness.
EIC Transition supports the maturation and validation of your novel technology in the lab and in relevant application environments (by making use of prototyping, formulation, models, user testing or other validation tests). As well as the development of a business case and business model towards the innovation’s future commercialization.
